A seminar was held in the cities of Daejeon and Yeosu as part of the joint research project “Kor-UZ”, organized by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The event was aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s chemical industry and further developing the Uzbek Center for Chemical Technologies (UzCCT).

During the seminar, scientists from Uzbekistan and South Korea presented six scientific and technical reports focused on modern research and innovations in the chemical sector.
Both sides exchanged experience and discussed new technologies and promising areas for collaboration.

Participants also visited the KRICT scientific laboratories, where they were introduced to advanced equipment and explored possibilities for its practical application.

As part of the seminar, a meeting was held with Master’s and PhD students studying in South Korea under KOICA grant programs.
The discussion focused on UzCCT’s future plans, the role of young researchers in the center’s activities, and ways to apply their knowledge and experience to further advance Uzbekistan’s industrial development.

The event became an important step in strengthening bilateral cooperation and opened new opportunities for joint scientific initiatives in the field of chemistry.

In the future, the continued development of this partnership will contribute to enhancing Uzbekistan’s position on the international stage and improving the global competitiveness of the national chemical industry.
